Manual Instructions#

This manual includes symbology settings, function settings (lighting, keyboard type and factory reset, etc.) and interface settings. If you need to change the functions you need, just scan the configuration according to the setting barcode below. All with (*) indicate factory default values.

Version Information#

In order for the host to quickly read the version information of the current device, you can confirm it by reading the “version information”.

Version Information#

Set Code Switch#

By turning on the setting barcode function, you can configure the parameters of the scan engine by scanning the setting barcode.

Note

When modifying the configuration through the setting barcode, the entire current flag bit list will be saved to the memory, that is, the configuration configured through the serial port but not saved will also be saved together.

Restore User Factory Default Settings#

Users can save their frequently used configurations as user default settings. By scanning “Save current settings as user default settings”, the current configuration information of the device can be saved as user default settings information. After this operation, the new configuration information will replace the original user default settings information. By scanning “Restore User Default Settings”, the scan engine can be switched to user default settings.

Power Control#

Sleep Mode#

This parameter determines the power mode of the module. In sleep mode, the code reading module enters sleep state as much as possible (can be awakened by wake-up command)

* Sleep Mode#

Continuous Working Mode#

In continuous working mode, the scan engine is still awake after each decoding attempt.

Lighting And Aiming#

Illumination#

The lighting can provide auxiliary lighting for shooting and reading, and the beam shines on the reading target, improving the reading performance and the ability to adapt to weak ambient light. Users can set it to one of the following states according to the application environment:

Normal lighting (default setting): The lighting lights up when shooting and reading, and turns off at other times;

The lighting is always on: the lighting will continue to glow after the scan engine is turned on;

No lighting: The light does not come on under any circumstances.

AIM#

The projected aiming beam helps users find the optimal reading distance when shooting for reading. According to the application environment, users can

Choose any of the modes below.

Aiming Normal (default setting): The scan engine only projects the aiming beam when shooting and reading;

Aiming always on: After the scan engine is powered on, it will continue to project the aiming beam;

No Aiming: The aiming beam is extinguished under any circumstances.

Decoding Prompt Tone Frequency#

The resonant frequency of the buzzer used by the user may be different from the default frequency. You can adjust the frequency of the decoding prompt tone by reading the following setting barcode. Default is 2700Hz.
